We're so excited that you're interested in attending our Sri Lankan reception. We look forward to celebrating with you and showing you the incredible island and culture of Sri Lanka.
We designed this itinerary so that everyone enjoys a weekend at Bentota. We will arrive together on the Friday afternoon, ceremony on Saturday and an optional 2 day trip to Mirissa commencing Sunday the 3rd.

We have arranged transport to take you from Colombo to Bentota. There will be entertainment on arrival so we encourage guests to arrive together and not to miss out on the celebrations.
We've secured 3 beautiful properties within walking distance of the wedding venue. Your accommodation for the 1st and 2nd of December is taken care of and breakfast is included. You will just need to cover any additional expenses.
You will be given the details to your resort and room on arrival.
After settling into your rooms and a quick refresh, you are invited to join us for a cocktail sundowner by the beach with music and traditional entertainment. Dress code is casual, beachy and breezy.
Enjoy a leisurely brunch by the pool or enjoy the beach and explore the surrounds before joining us for a sunset ceremony.

Depart Bentota by bus with stop over in Galle and arrive in Mirissa for a two day explore and adventure
Attire
Attire for the wedding day is smart casual. Alternatively, traditional wear such as sarees and sarongs are suitable for the Poruwa ceremony and will be the most common choice amongst guests.

Geoffrey Bawa: The Sri Lankan architect who broke down the segregation of inside and outside, building and landscape
Villa Bentota is part of the KK collection and was originally designed by Geoffrey Bawa, a Sri Lankan architect who was amongst the most influential Asian architects of his generation. Bawa's signature blend of traditional Asian forms and contemporary international styles produced houses and public buildings in harmony with their Asian landscapes. Bawa did not reject colonial influences of the Portuguese, British or Dutch if they stood up to architectural scrutiny, which is reflected in the design choices of Villa Bentota. Geoffrey Bawa influenced a generation of architects in Sri Lanka, but his legacy was also embraced in Asia and around the world. Some of his most famous works include the Sri Lankan Parliament Complex, Kandalama Hotel, The Strathspey Estate Bungalow, Heritage Madurai, India and the Ratnasivaratnam House.
